1. DPDP Act 2023 Compliance

Locus.IA is designed with "Privacy by Design" to comply with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP) 2023. As a Sovereign Local AI, Locus.IA ensures that "Digital Personal Data" processed by the user remains under the user's sole control. Locus.IA does not act as a "Data Fiduciary" for your case documents; rather, it is a tool used by the Data Fiduciary (the Lawyer/Firm) to process data locally.

2. Local-First Processing (Edge AI)

Unlike generic LLMs (ChatGPT, Claude), the indexing and reading of your documents (PDFs, Images, Word files) happen entirely on your local machine. Your files are never uploaded to our servers. This ensures compliance with cross-border data transfer restrictions and maintains the highest level of Attorney-Client Privilege.

3. Evidence Integrity (BSA)

Locus.IA respects the evidentiary standards set by the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA) regarding electronic records. By processing data locally, we avoid the risk of data tampering or loss of metadata that often occurs during cloud uploads/downloads.

4. No Training or Re-use

We provide a contractual guarantee that your data is never used for training any public or private AI models. Your legal work product and strategy remain confidential and proprietary to your practice.

5. Uninstall & Data Deletion

Locus.IA is a zero-footprint intelligence tool. If you choose to uninstall, no residue of your indexed documents remains on our systems (as they were never there). To uninstall from Windows:

1. Open Settings > Apps > Installed Apps.
2. Search for Locus.IA.
3. Select Uninstall.
